God Disposes and Man Proposes
So Dr. Mynter Said, He Would Not Predict, but Anticipated Recovery.
Milburn House, Buffalo, Sept. 10.—Dr.
Herman Mynter, one of the consulting physicians of President McKinley, said
last night:
“I have always made it a point not to prognosticate
in serious cases, for you know man proposes and God disposes. I consider the
president’s case a serious one and so I do not predict, but I may say that at
this stage of the occurrence the condition of the patient is quite remarkably
favcorable [sic] and personally I cannot anything [sic] but recovery.”
Dr. Eugene Wasdin, who was with Dr. Mynter, said:
“I, too, am averse to making predictions, but
I agree that the president’s condition is one that strongly favors complete
and rapid recovery.”
