City Hall Will Be Turned Over to Supt. Bull
World Wide Interest Centering in Czolgosz Trial Makes
Extraordinary Preparations Necessary.
When the old Criminal Court room is opened tomorrow
for the beginning of the Czolgosz trial it will be amply protected against an
inrush of people, thousands of whom it is expected will attempt to obtain a
view of the prisoner.
World wide in its interest, it is expected that
legal authorities, newspaper correspondents and laymen from all parts of the
country will seek admittance into the courtroom. To avoid an overcrowding the
county authorities were busy yesterday arranging plans for order. Supt. William
F. Fisher and Sheriff Samuel Caldwell decided to turn the City Hall over to
Supt. Bull of the Police lines will be established around the the [sic] newspaper
reporters will be given preference in the admittance to those not actual participants
in the case. Police linnes [sic] will be established around the City Hall and
it will be difficult for the general public to get near the building. The usual
courtesy of the court extended to attorneys in general will necessarily have
to be suspended.
