probability one week from today Leon Czolgosz will be no more. The splurge and notoriety which accompanied Guiteau’s act has been absent in this case, and its absence and the holding of the prisoner incommunicado will perhaps do more than any one thing to discourage anarchy. With Czolgosz dead and Herr Most in jail, there are none but the Goldman woman left to disgust the public with the frothy vaporings of anarchy; and it is very possible that she may ere long find her battery of vituperation short-circuited by the live wire of public opinion and feel a rope about her worthless neck that her own tongue has tied.
