     IF the miserable assassin of President McKinley was baptized a Catholic, he lost no time in abjuring his faith and becoming an “emancipated” infidel. It was not his religion, but his denial of all religion, that made him an outlaw and a murderer. Catholicity is no more responsible for him than for those other apostates, Chiniquy, Slattery and the small army of real or bogus “converted” priests and nuns who have enriched the Church by leaving it, from the time of Luther down to the present.
