     Paterson, New Jersey—the town where Bresci plotted the death of Humbert; where Jennie Boscheiter was murdered by “some of our best citizens”; where there are localities in which it is not safe for a decent man or woman to be found at night; where the police practically wink at the celebration of Friday’s crime at Buffalo—Paterson, N. J., should be reconstructed from center to circumference or should be walled in and made the abiding-place of every bloody-minded, evil-speaking and evil-smelling anarchist in this country. Paterson, as at present conducted, is a foul blot on the map of the civilized world. Are there not decent men enough in the town to have a house cleaning on a grand scale? If not, the respectable citizens in this modern Sodom need not be surprised if people hold their noses when the name of the New Jersey town is mentioned.
